Why stains need hand treatment
Different stains need different treatments. An oil stain dissolves differently from a wine stain, and the wrong product can set the stain into the fabric. That is why we pre-treat each stain individually before cleaning or washing.
Some stains — especially old stains or stains that have been exposed to heat — cannot always be removed completely. Once we have seen the garment, we will tell you what to expect.
What to do before you come in
- ◆Gently blot the stain with a clean white cloth — do not rub.
- ◆Avoid hot water, tumble drying and ironing; heat can set the stain.
- ◆Do not use stain remover on silk, wool or other delicate fabrics.
- ◆Come in as soon as possible and tell us what caused the stain.
